Cedar chest compost bins
Compost bins made of real wood. Long lasting cedar that can be treated to last even longer. Bins last 10-15 years. Soy based wood finish products are safe for worms.
Small cedar redworm compost bin - This is an attractive 2 cubic feet bin made for those that do not have the room for a medium bin or don't think they will have much food waste. Comes w/reinforced top. 1/2 lb redworms recommended to start. Outside dimensions 24" x 12" x 21"
Medium cedar redworm compost bin -Good starter for two people or someone that likes their fruits and veggies. This has double the area of the small cedar bin and the worm factory. This composter comes with a screen divider and a reinforced top. Outside dimensions 33" x 15" x 21"
Large cedar chest redworm composter- This is the family bin (for 3 to 6 people). This bin is approximately 7 cu ft and comes w/reinforced top and screen divider. Outside dimensions 39" x 24" x 21"
The screen divider is a horizontal migration device (see below). You compost on one side of your composter until it's full, then you start to fill the second side. While you fill the second side your redworms will migrate over to that side so you can easily empty the first side when the second side is full.
